Connecting Through Employee Networks
Business Resource Groups (BRGs)
At RWJBarnabas Health, employee wellbeing includes feeling seen, supported, and connected. That’s why we are proud to be home to 20 Business Resource Group (BRG) umbrellas, with 56 BRGs system-wide. These employee-led groups are based on shared life experiences to provide support to fellow colleagues, foster career development, and to contribute to cultural sensitivity in the work environment. The system’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) leaders champion the BRGs at their sites and collectively organize hundreds of cultural observances and educational opportunities across the system each year.
Business Resource Groups are more than employee networks—they are a cornerstone of our organization’s culture and strategy. Our BRGs help us align our mission to build a healthier New Jersey and align with the compassion and care we bring to our colleagues and the communities we serve.
Membership is open to all RWJBarnabas Health employees and Sodexo employees. To join or for more information, contact your facility’s DEI lead.
All BRG-related events can be found on The Bridge.
Women’s Leadership Alliance (WLA)
RWJBarnabas Health’s Women’s Leadership Alliance (WLA) strives to provide all members in the organization with tools, connections, and support to thrive and achieve equal opportunities for leadership. The WLA membership is open to all RWJBarnabas Health employees in good standing who have at least six (6) months of service with the organization regardless of gender identity.
The WLA offers educational sessions including book clubs, lunch and learns, and networking designed to support members in leadership development and growth. The WLA has a strong community outreach to support the needs of the communities around us. With a robust membership, the WLA allows members to share knowledge and insight to support each other and invest in each other’s professional growth and success.
