That’s why we launched the first-ever system-wide Mentorship Program in October 2025. As one system, one family, this unified program is an opportunity to live our values of excellence, curiosity and teamwork.

We’re excited to announce that applications are now open for our second cohort. 

This structured, six-month system-wide mentorship opportunity will continue to strengthen organizational culture by fostering meaningful professional connections, supporting and developing team members and providing opportunities to learn about different career paths across the system.

For Aspiring Mentees

Are you in the self-reflection and career exploration phase of your career journey? As a mentee, you will have the opportunity to expand your professional network within RWJBarnabas Health, develop new skills, set meaningful goals and more ─, all aimed at helping you grow with purpose and confidence in your career journey.

Mentee Eligibility Includes:

• Minimum one year of tenure with RWJBarnabas Health
• Willingness to engage in self-reflection and receive feedback
• Completion of a personal “Why” Statement (submitted within application)
• Approval from direct manager
• Commit at least two hours per month for a six-month period
• Participation in orientation and ongoing mentoring activities

For Dedicated Mentors

Are you a subject matter expert passionate about helping others grow? As a mentor, you’ll strengthen your leadership and coaching skills while inspiring and supporting the development of others.

Mentor Eligibility Includes:

• Director level or above and minimum one year of tenure in current role (recommended)
• Demonstrate strong leadership skills and a commitment to developing others
• Completion of a personal “Why” Statement (submitted within application)
• Approval from direct manager
• Commit at least two hours per month for a six-month period (with optional extension)
• Participation in orientation and ongoing mentoring activities
