Event: Saint James Health Thanksgiving Community Food Distribution
Description: Each year, the Community Health team partners with Saint James Health Federally Qualified Health Center on holiday distribution events in Newark to support local families.
Date: Thursday, November 19, 2026
Time: 2 p.m. – 5 p.m.
Location: 555 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Newark, NJ 07102
How Can You Help? We anticipate distributing approximately 500 turkeys and produce bags at this event. We are seeking 2-3 volunteers to assist with setup, bagging, distribution, and breakdown as needed. To sign up to volunteer, please email RWJBHCommunityHealth@rwjbh.org.

Description: Each year, the Community Health team partners with Saint James Health Federally Qualified Health Center on holiday distribution events in Newark to support local families.
Date: Wednesday, December 23, 2026
Time: 1:30 p.m. – 4 p.m.
Location: 69 Pulaski Street, Newark, NJ 07105
How Can You Help? We are planning to distribute approximately 500 cold-weather items of each type, including items such as socks, gloves, hats, and other winter essentials. We are seeking 2-3 volunteers to assist with setup and distribution efforts. To sign up to volunteer, please email RWJBHCommunityHealth@rwjbh.org.

Whether you have a few hours or a full day to give, there’s a volunteer experience that fits your interests and schedule. Plus, volunteer efforts may count toward your BHealthy Wellness points.
Employees enrolled in an RWJBarnabas Health medical plan can earn up to 8,000 points per year for volunteer services (2,000 points per event/activity) toward a savings on their medical plan premium for the upcoming year through the BHealthy Wellness Portal.
