New Hires/Transfers Benefits Checklist

You will have 30 days from your date of hire or transfer to enroll in or waive benefits coverage. Coverage starts the 1st of the month following your date of hire or transfer.

The checklist below outlines the benefits enrollment process. You may also download a copy of this checklist by clicking here.

Step 1: Review Your Choices

• Review your 2026 benefits guide (refer to the buttons on the right)

Step 2: Get Enrolled

• Collect your information:
• PeopleSoft ID
• Date of birth, Social Security Numbers and addresses for any benefit-eligible dependents that you are enrolling in coverage
• Dependent verification documents must be submitted within your 30 day enrollment window. If documentation is not submitted, your dependents cannot be enrolled in coverage.
• Enroll in benefits:
• Visit the Benefits Enrollment Portal (see instructions below) OR
• Enroll via phone at 844.690.0920 (8:30 am – 7 pm ET, M–F)

Step 3: Receive ID Cards

• ID cards cards should arrive via US Mail within 2–3 weeks of enrollment

Step 5: Make an Appointment

• Call Care Navigation to find providers and book appointments for well visits, screenings, and more! Our navigation team is available Monday through Friday, 8am to 7pm at 844.424.2628.

Employees who are covered by a collective bargaining agreement should check with their local human resources teams or union leadership to understand how these benefits may differ for them, if applicable.

Visit www.RWJBHBenefits.com or click the Benefits Enrollment Portal Login button above to make your elections.

Login Hints:

• Username is “RWJBH” followed by your 6-digit Employee ID number
• Your default password (if needed) is the capitalized first letter of your first name + lower case first letter of your last name + your 5-digit home zip code.
